4 months and counting, Mother's Day, Beach, Lake, & Memorial Day

Branlee will be 5 months this week so I am a month behind, please forgive. We started off the month of May with a trip to the pediatrician. It was shot time and not so fun! I am such a wiener when it comes to her shots. She takes them like a pro and I squall like a baby! She weighed 13 lbs and 4 oz and was 24 in. long. Just like last time, she was in the 50th percentile in everything. Overall, it was a great check-up and we are so very blessed to have a healthy baby. We have also started her on solids. She loves all the veggies and only certain fruits. She breaks out in a rash when she eats peas and peaches so I guess we will have to give those a try later on. She is very good at eating with her spoon! We also bought her a training cup. She understands the concept but can't quite get it in her mouth yet. Mother's Day weekend we went to Babypalooza and then to Grandma Crawford's house for some grilling out with the fam. Branlee played with her cousin Eli, who is 9 days older than her, most of the night. They practiced rolling over, cooing, and crying. We also had lunch with my Mawmaw (Dad's Mom) at the Holiday Inn. My Mawmaw means the world to me! She is my rock and I don't know if I would have ever made it this far without her. She will be 83 this year and hasn't missed a beat. I love her VERY much! She loves her great grand-daughter very much too. Later on in the month went to the beach with Tim, Kisha, and Eli. We had a very enjoyable time with the baby's. Branlee and Eli got in the ocean and in the pool for the 1st time. Branlee is still too little for her float so I just carried her in the pool. Now Eli, he fit into his float great! He splashed and had a good ole' time. It was very sad to come home and very sad to know that in a couple weeks, our beautiful beaches may be ugly! We've also been to the lake camping twice. Brandon finally mastered my Dad's 1978 tournament ski that he has been trying to get up on for awhile. He thinks he is hott stuff now! I still have not let Branlee get in the lake water. It's yucky to me and I'm not too sure when I will let her take a dip in it. Memorial Day weekend we went to the lake AGAIN. The weekend consisted of storms, drinks, great times with family and friends, skiing, and boat riding! And best of all, Branlee's Mimi(Brandon's Mom) and Mawmaw(Brandon's Grand-mother) took care of her so that I could have some R&R! It was a GREAT Memorial Day! I am very thankful for all the troops who give their lives day to day for Our country and Our freedom! Last but not least, I got an at-home-job! YES! I am doing medical transcription at home, at night while Branlee is sleeping, and I am so loving it! I thank God everyday for all my many blessings!
